Can anyone remember the name of the bloke who was the music teacher before Mrs Jones (Peat)? He was a real hippy with the hair n beard and all, and was totally cool! Always remember him telling the tale about kangarooing his car cos he was tapping his foot to the radio. I always used to think 'yeah right' but I'm sure we've all since found out it does happen! Except now that I'm into Death Metal I can't actually move my feet that fast!

Hi I'm Ann Rusby - a new member. I used to be Ann Fields, and have very fond memories of playing the mandolin whilst at Yewlands. My teacher was Mr Tanzer!!! He was fantastic. We regularly did music concerts at the Merlin Theatre, - I loved it, although now I am 41, and have forgotten how to play. Does anyone out there remember me? My friends were: - Celestine Eaton, Lynn Dale, Joanne Doane, - I can't remember many in my class, but I would love to see photos!!!!

No. But I remember Mrs. Peat. I take it she got married to a Mr. Jones then.
I also remember that she was first proposed to by someone whose surname bagan with 'D'. She told the story that in the staff room teachers were identified by their initials and she didn't fancy being 'VD'. (V = Val).

Mr Tanser - that's him! Well done Mandy.
Seem to remember his first name was Colin, and he preferred everyone to call him that.
What a guy...wonder what he's up to now?
