My fondest memory is of the third year trip to Germany. We had a real scream especially when 'Sherpa'Gifford and Miss Round stormed into our room and busted us for consuming copious amounts of Martini. Me and Bev Lomas had planned it so carefully so someone must have rumbled us. Never did find out who!

Then Bev fell out with me cos I got so drunk that she had to undress me and put me to bed and Peter Allen grassed me up saying I was pretending. As if!?
We all had to behave after that.

Still managed to smuggle a load of flick-knives back though, stuffed down the sides of the coach seats.

As for school lessons I don't remember much (being a loner/weirdo/freak) but I have strong recollections of Darren Lloyd spending many an hour annoying everyone by continually singing the music from Batfink!

If anybody else remembers the German trip give us a shout.

I remember squaring up to the locals as we got off the coach at a pub! And we didn't quite get the wine tasting did we? I didn't know you were only supposed to sip it! I seem to remember going up somewhere on a ski-lift (no idea how we got back down) and then being up a tower with some weird elvin-type girl following us around.

Have you got any photos from the trip or do you know anyone who has? It would be a laugh to see them.

Can you also remind me who was in our class cos my memory has suffered years of alcohol abuse ( to the point where I have actually given up!)

I remember a German trip to Bielefeld, must have been about 1984. The main thing I remember is drinking loads of beer and getting off with a girl called Susan Allet (from Dewsbury if I remember right) on the ferry back from Germany to the UK (or was it Rotterdam to the UK, can't remember).

But the best trip was the year before to Cagnes Sur Mer in the south of France.

The french seemed to be much more liberated than the English and I remember time on the beach one night drinking champagne that we'd cooled in the sea. I also remember Tracey Spence was on that trip :) Other than that, it's all a blur but I kept in touch with the 'correspondents' in France and used visiting them as an excuse to have cheap holidays in that part of the world for years to come!
