Hi all,

Just moved back to Sheffield after years away and thought I'd say a big hello to everyone that I was at school with.

I'm married, no kids, and work as a Teaching Assistant in Doncaster. The hair's a bit longer than at school due to my rather, er, metallic taste in music; are there any decent rock clubs in town these days?

It would be nice to hear from some old school mates, so if anyone remembers me, please give me a shout!

Later,

Mark

The best place in Sheffield anyone goes to for rock music is the Corporation.

Can't argue with that! I used to go there early 90's when I lived in Sheffiled first time round (how old do I sound?). I can't believe that such a big city has hardly any rock bars. Pants!!

Just found this site thanks to Sid (David) Ellis.

I've been living in San Antonio, Texas for 4 years now. Came here for work (oil industry)I was going nowhere quickly in Sheffield. Married an American, her name is Christine, 2 years ago. Life is sweet. Hope to here from anyone who remembers me.

The Sportsman and the Casbah, both on Cambridge Street. The Nelson, opposite McD's at top of Moor, the Boardwalk, Angel Street, the Dove & Rainbow (if it's still there) - all good rock places to drink in before you go the the Corp, Nelson's even sells Corp tickets. It's not entirely a barren wasteland of student/townie/theme/chain pubs. Although the Classic Rock Bar is a sad loss - RIP Sass, you quality Geezer

Latest update.

Still live in Sheffield, still work in Donny, still married to Jules, just had a gorgeous baby girl, Charlotte (our 1st).

In true daddy fashion I cut my hair and grew a beard (which lasted all of a 2 weeks).
