Did anyone remember Mrs Eaton. She was my form tutor from 1979 to 1984. Polish or something.

:P

I remember her Biology teacher, she was great. Spent ages trying to get me to understand genetics - what a waste of her time !

I remember Mrs Eaton demonstrating the actions of Sodium in Water. She put a big plastic screen in front of the water bowl to protect the class, but a piece managed to leap out of the water, over the screen and into someone's lap. She got a bit of a rep for being accident prone - managed to set fire to a bunson burner gas tube once aswell.

She was my Science teacher in the 1st year (7th year, whatever). anyway, i didn't know back then that i was quite squeamish

Now, this was back when the old science block (Bristol block???) was there, so anyway, sat on the desks watching her do something or other with the others in my class, now, i'm not sure what it was, it was an organ of some kind, maybe a lung.... but she prodded it and blood oozed out.

About 30 seconds after seeing that my vision started going hazy (tunnel vision) and the sound started to go and i could feel myself lolling  , anyway, Mrs Eaton noticed (she told me the colour had drained from my face afterwards and looked like i was gonna fall off the desk). So she led me round behind the desk and sat me down with some of the others that didn't like it much either..... She was a good teacher, i liked her, didn't see her do owt clumsy though :P
