i'm living in sheffield, with my husband Alan Norman, who was in the year above me at yewlands. we have two daughters Nicola, who has just left yewlands, and Kerri whi is 6. I work in hillsborough, and have been in my job for 20 years. I organised the reunion last march, it was hard work but fun. I only wished more people had attended. If anyone would like any help to organise one, get in touch.

If you need anything adding to this site about reunions etc, then just send me an email with dates, places etc and i will make it a prominent (god thats a big word for me) feature of the site.

Alternatively, if you would like to put a vote on the site, then why not press the POLL button on this board, and ask when or if people would attend !!

Dave

Well, I moved away from Sheff about 5 years ago and now live in Gosport (near Portsmouth), recently single after 5 years (no kids) so am doing the party thing big time!!! Now play rugby for Gosport & Fareham and work for the Council.

Would love to be back at school, looking back it was such a laugh, although I probably didn't say that at the time!

Hi my name is bob and I'm an alcoholic..... errr oops wrong section  errmm not much more about me apart from I like messing about on the internet, computer games, web design, I have also been known to dabble in vb making pointless yet dodgy programs... a lottery number generator which is pretty useless and making programs that blow peoples heads off.... although that's quite normal...isn't it?...

Hmm anyway would appreciate it if more people filled in their info... cos I'm bored and usually look at people profiles to see who they are...

thought it was time I posted something. {again} http://www.tbys08246.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/buttrock.gif

Richard Womersley (a.k.a. 'womans legs' thanks to Andy Bell) here. Now living in Guildford with my wife Kate and 2 kids (Molly, 8 and Jamie, 6). Graduated from Surrey University in 1991 and now work for a consultancy doing telecommunications, which is pretty much what I've been doing for the last 10 years after I left my first job at the BBC in London. My parents lived in Grenoside until a couple of years ago but have now moved to live near my sister (Rebecca) who left Sheffield ages ago.

I remember Yewlands fondly, mainly due to the interesting characters that seemed to end up there.

Who could forget Wayne Tindle (Tinny) or Mickey Hawkes, the two harmless bullys who misspent most of their time having a go at each other (wonder where they are now?!)

The teachers were characters too. There was that maths teacher from Ipswich who called everyone 'Sunshine' that I later heard was convicted of doing naughty stuff with kids. Can't remember his name.
