I was at school the same time as all of the above - remember them all - Adams aspirations to be Jon Bon Jovi and being fancied by Kay Rawlings, 'Big' Jon Holroyd knocking about with Simon Haywood and Marie and her very curly brown hair !

Can't say I miss yewlands all that much - life has changed a lot since then. Hope everyone is happy and getting along ok. I am doing ok all things considered - have finally moved off the 'Cross and holed up in Hoyland Common with someone I love.

I know this is a delayed respone. But what the hell :P

I was at Yewlands between 1991 and 1997.

And while I'm here,

Anyone ever knew Joanne Crocker? I believe she was either at Yewlands School or Chaucer School (Sorry to have to say that school name, always hated it) or Lisa? Lisa Crocker? Lisa is Joanne Crocker's sister. I never knew if they were real blood sisters, this is why I'm uncertain of Lisa's surname. Lisa was at Yewlands School too. Between the years of something like 1990 - 1997, really not sure.

Again, any info would be much appreciated!

I was at Yewlands from 1973 to 1978, I was in mr. bensons tutor group in the maths block.
I much prefer working than being at school, it will be nice to see people again after all this time at the reunion.

Well I left in 1986 after doing resits for my A-levels (lol), my friends at the time were Andrew Moore, Rik Womersley (remember the massive curly status quo style hair & the moustache!), Lisa Green, Kay Turton, Ruth Walker, altho most of them had left by end of 95...

Can't remember which class I was in, was one of the Enlgish teachers on the 1st floor of the main block... Mind you remember Miss Coy (PE), Miss Jones (French Language), Mr Topham (PE), and Mr Hutt (the wierd lookin Chemistry Teacher), and Mr Allen (Maths teacher with the awful smelly breath who walked out of lessons one day cos we were laffin about it, kids eh!), crikey still calling em Miss and Mr after 22 yrs lol!

Oh, and remember the class bully too, Darren Berisfield who used to spit on everyone most mornings!

Great times, but life goes on!

80-84. Billy Blowers form. Wouldn't say the best years of my life, but guess we all had to go through it! Would love to go back and look at the "new" Yewlands ;)

Yer, I drove past there on 26th Dec 2009, and took a few pictures through the gate of the new "Yewlands Technology College" on my way back south after visiting the parents for the hols!

A very very very smart looking building, and obviously cost quite a few million, quite unlike the old square buildings that were there before, kinda sad to see it go, even found a few pics on flickr of the demolition, and the Jungle scene mural by a famous 1950/60s artist that used to be on the wall in the main entrance outside the library... Quite funny to see the mural now "outside" with the surrounding walls knocked down in one picture!

Oh well, life goes on, but it doesn't mean u have to grow up!!!
